I have worked with many brides who have decided to go by themselves on planning and designing their weddings and have been under a lot of pressure and stress while planning their weddings.

They are so overwhelmed as they never thought planning their own wedding would require a lot of hours.

Planning a wedding takes approximately 400 hours of work, and I would greatly advise it for those brides who love and feel great passion over design, handmade, and all in between. Expert guidance allows you the opportunity to save time and money. Some things take years to learn unless you work in the wedding industry. Wedding planners know everything from food to wedding protocol. Wedding planners wear many hats, some days, they serve as your coach, and some days they act as your chaperone. They give you the security that the wedding will not mess up. 

For those days when hormones feel just out of balance, she will be there for you too. 

A wedding planner boosts a bride's confidence, especially when the urge to take care of everything arises. 

It's beautiful to recognize when we can or can't handle everything. As it is beautiful to give in and let the experts work for you. A professional working by your side will take the burden of anxiety out of you so you can have extra time to build up the muscle of joy.

There is not much you can do when you don't have the time and energy to start learning about color palettes, wedding elements, design principles, catering, protocols, limousines, venues, and so on. So the more experienced your wedding planner is, the best, but if you are on a budget, there are always those newly hatched wedding planners that will prepare your wedding with all of their efforts and illusions to the top.

 They usually only charge a little because they are hungry for clients and pictures for their portfolio. Those are the ones to aim for, my dear bride-to-be. Don't be fearful; they have a lot of knowledge, too. 

They already know all the local wedding vendors because they have already been working on it, so that they will save you a lot of time. 

She may need to gain the experience you are looking for, but she has top nudge knowledge. She has tasted cakes, been invited to venues to try menus; she knows the florists, and so on. So she can guide you.  

But it will always depend on you.

A simple way to get a reference about them is through her reviews. Well, most of the wedding planner reviews are given as a courtesy for them so I would ignore the good reviews but check on the bad reviews that don’t come packed with emotions. Keep in mind that you will get the service you are paying for, some brides want a full-service wedding planner when they invested just a couple of dollars. These brides retaliate on the reviews but you will recognize these reviews from the ones that really tell you about a bad experience or recommendation.

I recommend looking for wedding planners in your area with fewer bad reviews and then starting to sort them out until you have two options. After that, please make an appointment with them and stick with the one closest to your personality. 

Ask questions, take notes, and be yourself. Look for a connection between the parts because she will be walking with you the whole year in case you are just engaged.

Remember in the post that I told you to eliminate plan b? Well, you can still keep it when you hire a wedding planner (ahaha). You will rest assured that she will give you several plans she will follow in the case that terrible thing you fear will happen. Even though I don’t stick with the opinion of plan bs on wedding days, I know for sure that brides that suffer from anxiety will thank me. 99.9% of the time, a bride will not need a plan b, but if that gives mental rest to the bride, a wedding planner will go for that.

She would know what to do if the bakery suddenly permanently closes or if rain comes.

She will work to give a list of possible things you can rent o what to do in case this or that could happen. Something that you could not come up with in case you are in charge of preparing your wedding from scratch. So, again, experience counts.

You probably are a bride with lots of knowledge about design and some experience as you have worked and organized other parties and even weddings. You probably think you can manage everything at your wedding, but unfortunately, you can not plan and coordinate your wedding when you are a bride for that wedding.

It's okay to trust others' expertise. You can find a wedding planner that works not only in urban areas but also in mountains and snowy places, and you can start your research as quickly as googling them. Although you could work with international wedding planners and designers, I will always advise choosing your locals.

Some brides choose to work with their locals but hire an online wedding planner to let the local planner know what they have in mind for the wedding day.

You can have the best of New York or Florida from the comfort of your home. Sometimes, they know providers from other parts of the united states or can contact them for you.

Wedding planning stress can be a heavy burden on brides' shoulders.

So, a bride-to-be will start being cranky with the people she loves the most, especially when the big day is getting closer and closer.

A wedding planner helps a couple find direction and get them where they want to go. A wedding planner intervenes when the bride and groom fight about their wedding expectations. Remember that it is not about the bride but the groom and the mother's groom, too.
